Nature's Filigree

Treading on the sky

velvety as a table cloth

in this looming twilight

even the earth is no longer solid

but an extension of the clouds

ethereal as never

hosting a feast of a butterfly

hovering atop the buttonbush

its tiny bursting stars

golden-haired

as nature’s improvised filigree

keeps evolving

the bloody moon

is about to spill across the cobalt sky

like a glass of red wine

A very descriptive poem and you paint a beautiful picture that is just enhanced by the accompanying images. Well done.

I love your colorful and inventive use of words when explaining a Florida twilight. Your closing words, "the bloody moon is about to spill across the cobalt sky like a glass of red wine," are brilliant!
