End of April Couplets (2019)
I can't seem to stop writing poetry or reading poetry. I think it is safe to say I love poetry and I love sharing great poetry with others.
To elope with the voices I have heard
and realize this path is as I feared.
This season has fallen upon my moods
through work and trying to eat healthy foods.
My only wish to share my love of all
or share the notes of Nightingales call.
Yet with my sharpened pencil I write
my poetry seen once then out of sight.
I live within imaginary world
acrylic paint on palette freshly swirled.
As clouds begin to drift away from sun
will heat the morning as I start my run.
Under the moss to crawl with all the ants
only lost echoes of my lonely rants.
With hopes one day someone will find me there
to understand these feelings that I share.
I thank you reader for this month gone by
to witness as I spread my wings and fly.
I applaud my readers heroic deed
to take some time from busy day to read.
Somewhere between the dark of the solar
eclipse a fascinating french film star.
They say this life is nothing but a stage
I say this life is but a written page.

What a great job you did in support of April poetry month, Jamie. Your love of poetry shines through in your words. These couplets were wonderful and I totally agree with the emotions behind them.

Bravo Poet, you did good! Your enthusiasm was something to see, and you shared some awesome poetry (I haven't read them all yet, I hope you keep them up for awhile (please)). You are a wonderful ambassador for poetry!
