End of April Couplets (2018)
When thinking about how a month should end,
An argument on Nature to defend,
I ponder Kunitz, his “Benediction,”
on display his couplet dedication,
where the poet sends wishes through prayer
to keep away the sin of naysayer.
For reader to avoid all things evil,
for God to keep them from the world's Devil.
He asked for those who weep to have a chance
Recommended
to heal the scars from a bad circumstance,
he ends the couplets with a plea for love,
the only thing we should have a lot of.

I realize I want to pray for you,
to wish you reader, love and safety too.
