Do Dreams Die?

If they do,
Then never have I heard such a tale
Not in my life.

If fantasies were roses
Then I've made a garden
And those that may have wilted
They became manure.

An Iroko tree
does not grow in a day
Even a bean seed
does not sprout because its a rainy day!

Dreams don't die
Like buildings they too dilapidate
And somewhere in your heart, like water they percolate
Waiting to glow like stars and torch the sky.

Beautiful and inspiring poem. The magic of our dreams.

Adam Mason from Melbourne, Australia on June 06, 2019:

If you are capable of following your dreams, please do it.

I have so many regrets but I'm ok with it. "If fantasies were roses

Then I've made a garden". Go and make your fantasies a realities :D

Then you will have no regrets when your time comes.

Nice poem. I especially liked,

"Waiting to glow like stars and torch the sky."

I believe dreams do not die. Sometimes we push them to the back burner waiting for the day they return.

Good read.
