Poetry
The ducks were all peacefully
in the duck pond one day
But at the sight of food they ceased
to swim and play
They gathered towards the child
who was the closest to the feeder
They flapped their wings one almost bit her
They squawked and they quacked
Some even climbed on top
of the other ducks backs
They fought for the food
and bit each other
One baby duck was sticking
So close to its mother
A few of the fowl walked
on the sidewalk near us
They showed no fear
And made no fuss
The children enjoyed the ducks
As they frolicked in the pond that day
As they swam and fought for food
Walked around and played
