Dreamer - Every Poet Is a Dreamer

Dreamer Girl

dreamer-every-poet-is-a-dreamer

The Poet in me

They call me dreamer

They say it's time to wake up

And start living in their crazy world

They call me dreamer

They say I'll amount to nothing

If I don't shake myself up and do something

They call me dreamer

I'm set apart; their voices I don’t hear

I'm alone; their world I will not share

They call me dreamer

They say my head is in the clouds

They tell me to get down to earth

They call me dreamer

To them I’ll be forever faceless

For they 're blind; they're in absolute darkness

They call me dreamer

But I know my soul is in my eyes

And my spirit from their world shies

They call me dreamer

Hah! I'll set their world afire

I will make their blind eyes see

Indeed! I’m a dreamer

I will look deep into their souls

And to enlighten them I will aspire

They call me dreamer

Of course, I am a dreamer

With a vision to change the world
