Dreaded Reflection
I see her in the mirror
An ugly girl of terror
Her face was dull and oily
Scar and pimples marked it badly
Dark circled her yellowed eyes
They look so cold and flat
Her hair was dry and messy
Like she hadn't bath even for a day
She glared at me impassively
And yes, I can see what she wants to say
But I was shocked when she stretched her arms
So I tried my best to avoid those hands
But it caught my neck and strangled me bad
It was sucking all the life I had
Fear over took my mind
All my limbs went numb
I was to surrender everything I had
And tried to whisper a prayer above
But was soon surprised for the next thing she did
She put her hands off the lid
I looked at her and asked her why
With tears in her eyes, she said goodbye
But before she's gone, she turned around
She uttered something in a gentle sound
Love and live your life to its very best
The sun surely rises on the east
Don't ever try to follow me
So even now, you do still look like me
But someday soon you will see
That special person you are meant to be
