Do you know the road

You must travel?

Do you know the place

You must go?

Do you know the way

You must take…

To get home

Where you belong?

That road

Is not smooth

That place

Is not near

That way

Is not straight.

But travel you must

To find your way

Through it all.

Find that road,

Find that place

Find that way

...to take you home

Where you belong.

BRENDA ARLEDGE from Washington Court House on October 16, 2020:

Some search for years and never find it.

Home is where one's heart lives happy and at ease. I've lost my way a time or two but that feeling of home is a great one.

Shafqat M from UK on October 16, 2020:

Great piece of literature, simple yet powerful, very thought-provoking, indeed! This is not a stray comment, I really enjoyed this poem.

Well said, "travel you must ... where you belong."

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on October 16, 2020:

This is really special. My life is strange as I seldom see the road, I just wind up at home.
