Discouraged I Am

discouraged-i-am

Discouraged Am I,
Weight pressed down,
Trying hard to hold on.
Tears of pain
Still to remain.

discouraged-i-am

Yet will I wake
To the Voice I hear
Telling me to go and take
Another hand , oh, so dear.
This, you can shake.

discouraged-i-am

Looking up to Love so true.
Why do I feel so blue?
Each day is anew
Filled with love from above
Flowing from the Dove.

No longer will I pout.
You showed me what it’s about.
Discouraged I’m not.
Love is so true,
I no longer feel blue.

Thank you, Mark. I hope it blessed your heart as much as mine.

It is the hardest thing, Eric. Honesty is always right. It's something we all need to do. Jesus shows me this daily, and I'm so thankful. Thanks for reading.

Beautiful sentiment

This is very well done. Thank you for sharing it with us. One of the hardest, yet most fulfilling, chore as a dad was teaching my kids to express and know they are normal, most people just don't talk about it.

Lori Colbo from United States on August 28, 2018:

We all get down and I love that you can share it and remind us that Jesus is the answer. God bless.
