Detained

I thought it was dream when I heard the screams being carried by the wind…

The screams of children being detained, locked up and away from their parents, homes, and places that they are familiar with…

Cages all around them, unfamiliar faces all around them, weeping has no effect on the adults around them…

Eyes that are weary from crying, weary from not be heard are fixed on little innocent faces that can’t understand why they were snatched from their parents? Why didn’t their parents protect them?

Can you image their fears at such a tender age, an age where they are supposed to be happy, playful and allowed to be a child?

Can you image the sad eyes, the weeping like a faucet eyes and the screaming eyes from the little innocent faces?

Mommy? Daddy? Somebody! Etched all over the tear drops that can’t seem to stop on every face in this dreadful place…

The sad images are real, the callousness that put them there are real too.

Little innocent children snatched, separated from loved ones, detained against their Will…

It wasn’t a dream because the headlines proved it, and the pictures proved it, and the wind continues to enter my dreams carrying their screams…

I can't sleep while their innocent, tender, hearts can't find peace.

Fight For The Children The Future Will Need All of Them...
