Daydream of Then...(a Poem)

A Continual Saga of a "Younger-than-Now" Poet from the Highly-Esteemed State of Texas proclaiming more Poetic-able Prose using just pure wit

What is it that you speak?

What new information...Do I seek?

If only in a dream...does my mind go...

Where have I been in thought...only I know!

A dream...while wide awake...

A future thing...a past mistake?

A fortune to gain...

a thought...so insane...

Perhaps even mundane...

Or one filled with pain...?

I was gone...while I was here...

Yet...slowly something became very clear...

Now...I find it disappeared ...My dream was...Oh, so near...

I am back from there...a vision to which...I should want to adhere.

Blessed be those that dream of better things...and find newly appointed tasks to dwell...

Damn the torpedoes...Full Speed Ahead...Pursue Dead Ahead...Set Sail the Open Sail!

To not accomplish your dreams is to live a life tormented by your own personal H_ll...

But...I have lived a thousand dreams...and in my dreams...I lived them very well!

I daydream...where I dare to go...

I ascend on high...or fly at Mach Speed...down low!

I dream...a daydream of then...

But I always have...since way back when.

And go where my present state...keeps me restricted...

Out past the Stars...I soar...My Soul has proclaimed and prescripted.

A Challenge to reach the tallest Mountaintop up on high...is not that hard a journey...

If one regrets not trying...while being wheeled into an operating room...on a hospital gurney.

I (*) "Run To The End Of The Highway"...and still don't find...what I'm looking for" (a Line from a very great Song by Keith Green;1984)...

But that doesn't mean...I won't be coming back here again...several times more.

Go now...before the Sun sets on your daydream...the one you've seen...

Find that wish you've dreamed...and go and live...what you alone...daydream!

To be there...where I have in mind...that needs nothing from reality...

I find you waiting there...in my daydream...where you're always there with me.

I daydream in words unspoken...I live in a dimension of thought unparallel...

Pursuant...to the height I climb and look around from high...where once I fell...

But that lies in another story...that as of yet...I must dream of ...before I tell...

Yes...In my dreams...I've lived a thousand dreams...and I lived them very well!

These are the Lyrics to the Song: "Run To The End Of The Highway"

Well, you can run to the end of the highway and not find what you're looking for,

Moving won't make your troubles disappear.

And you can search to the end of the highway and come back no better than before.

To find yourself you've got to start right here.

Well I came running when I got the news that you were leaving.

Oh, I've gotta talk some sense to you, cause I'm your friend.

You say you want to hit the road cause life is so deceiving.

Do you think it's different at the other end?

So you can run to the end of the highway and not find what you're looking for.

Moving won't make your troubles disappear.

And you can search to the end of the highway and come back no better than before.

To find yourself you've got to start right here.

Oh, I came running when I got the news that you were crying.

Oh, my friend has life been so unkind to you?

You say you want to find a place where people are not lying.

If you find a place like that I'll go there too.

Oh, you can run to the end of the highway and not find what you're looking for.

Moving won't make your troubles disappear.

And you can search to the end of the highway and come back no better than before.

To find yourself you've got to start right here.

Yes, to find yourself, you've got to start right here.
