Church cliches need to stop

Church cliches need to stop

Good morning, my sister or brother

have a blessed day

God bless you, I'm blessed,

and highly favored they say

God is good all the time

church flow, It's my season,

These catchphrases are used

Without rhyme or reason

Won't he do it, God got this

I'm getting my praise on

this meaningless rhetoric

simply needs to be over and done

Cheryl, there is nothing happening that is meaningless, what those who claim "I'm blessed, and highly favored" need to allow their works show that they are.

Something I have found concerning the word "bless" is in most biblical uses of it the meaning is "be less than civilized." The first Psalms' "blessed is the man that walks not in the way of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of the sinners nor sit in the seat of the scornful" is someone who doesn't follow the pattern of civilization as also are the "B" attitudes. They are meek, low on civilization's ladder as all of the teachings of Christ admonishes. That is why I say "allow our works show" for words are often said without even knowing their meanings.

Thanks for sharing it.
