Covid 19 Poems
Covid 19
She lies in her bed
sick as a
old prune
Face mask and
social distancing
have left few family
members at her side
She suffers inside
Lungs collapsing like
dominoes
Her lethargic frame
all the more fragile
Covid 19 a diagnosis
so troubling it need no
introduction
Her body succumbing to
Its symptoms
Cough after cough
The loss of taste
or smell
How the virus
has left its mark
Social Distancing
No neighbors to greet
Face mask wearing in the
streets
Business are closed
People are out of work
The virus has been
a disaster of epic portions
Each day spent in quarantine
Some spent five feet away from
the nearest person
Is he or she sick?
Will I get the virus?
Do I want a vaccination?
Troubling disruptions
Facing the nation
Social distancing the bitch
that keeps on pushing
the limits
Pandemic
Flue or global pandemic
Covid
No gimmick
Hand sanitizers
Gloves
Victims
Survivors
The irony of the
moment
