Come to Jamaica for Fun and Relaxation

I have been writing poetry, fiction and short stories for many years and have completed a book of poems. I also enjoy comedy writing.

Jamaican Vacation

Jamaican Vacation

The Island with plenty sunlight.

Come drink a red stripe beer, enjoy the reggae music all night.

Come on man, get your tourist on.

Because when you arrive in paradise, it will be a true vacation.

Come be lazy on the beautiful white sand beaches

As Bob Marley music plays and puts your mind at ease.

Come to Jamaica and let our chefs satisfy your appetite

Curry goat, jerk pork, ackee and saltfish, is just a few of our delicious delights.

Come vibes with us, let the party begin.

Bust open a bottle of white rum, enjoy that Jerk Chicken.

Let us entertain you, we promise a super time totally out of this world

Come meet out island boys and island girls

Come to Jamaica, the home of the fastest man on the planet

Come chill in your shorts and t shirts, no neck ties or jackets

Come experience laughter, play, relaxation and more

Come to Jamaica where you will enjoy living once more.

Come man, come to Jamaica and light it up.

Come man, come to Jamaica and lets live it up.

Always wanted to visit Jamaica but I guess for now it's just a dream.

Sounds nice though...except i love steak.

Guess I'll have to try some new dishes.

But relaxing sounds great.

My husband and I visited Jamaica a few years ago and loved it. The people are so friendly and I still heard a lot about Bob Marley. We were in Montego Bay and we took a tour around that area of the countn.ry. We would love to return.

Ruby Jean Richert from Southern Illinois on April 13, 2020:

Clive I was in Jamaica in the late 70's and I had a ball. I remember orchids laying on tables and the piano, no water, just lying there. The climate must have been just right for them to live without water. I remember we went to a party, they roasted a whole pig and the reggae music was everywhere. I loved your poem.

Anya Ali from Rabwah, Pakistan on April 13, 2020:

The airplane ticket is too expensive for me, my friend. Otherwise, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

Clive Williams (author) from Jamaica on April 12, 2020:

Tourism sucks right now. No plane in.

FlourishAnyway from USA on April 12, 2020:

How’s tourism these days? I imagine things are really hurting. Eventually it will be over.

Come to Jamaica Eric...

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on April 12, 2020:

I just can't get a ticket. I can see it now "Shelter in Place in Paradise".

Great poem if I did not know better I would say it captured the essence.
