I want to move out of this twilight zone
stop living in the shadows of my life.
Hiding away for fear of the unknown
Feeling those anxieties twist the knife.
keeping emotions under lock and key
to open up releases to much anger.
I feel like I am on a stormy sea
Searching a calm harbour for to anchor.
I have to find a way to get release
To take the lid from my Pandora’s box.
A safe way to remove it piece by piece
The feelings and the pain that it unlocks.
I know one day I’ll walk into the light
If I can find the help to fight this fight.

Thank you Lorna.

I often advise clients to keep a journal of those worries that can cause anxiety and stress. This can be a good tool to confront fears and find coping strategies, as anxiety is more about what can happen. Writing poetry is also a good example of getting those anxious feelings down on paper and working through each one. This is a powerful poem Charlie, and if I can help please let me know.
