Come Give Me Your Hand
I'm a writer, a poet, a dreamer. Born and raised in New York City. I now live in Daytona Beach, Florida with my wonderful cat Sid.
Come give me your hand,
let me take you around my world,
show you the beauty,
of nature all around.
Come take my hand
and walk with me,
through quiet and magical forests,
where the shadows,
play with the sunlight,
that shimmers through the trees
and you would think,
that beneath every mushroom,
little dwarfs live.
Let me lead you to the river,
where in the summer,
the sun sparkles on the ripples
and the ducks and the geese,
dance upon the water,
and life seems so wonderful.
No human trash,
to stumble over,
just the dear, sweet earth,
where rocks lie in the sun,
upon the banks of the river.
Take my hand,
let me show you,
what magic there is all about,
let me take you along country roads,
where there is silence all about
and you can see wildlife living free and wild.
The magic of every sunrise and sunset,
the awakening of the earth,
in the springtime,
as the rich smells of earth,
burst forth and the first flowers begin to bloom.
Take my hand,
let me show you the world,
that the Lord has created
and you will see -
how wonderful life can be.
