Color Me Pain

Author:

It is spring once again

none were the leaves falling about

there were rains no more

pattering in the rooftops

nor gust of chill

nor torments

nor cries—

It is a spring today

tomorrow, the next day until the end of May

so are the blossoms

smell like bonbons

oh! What more to say!

color-me-pain

Here comes the spring

—with parade of colors,

buttercups, angel wings

makes me elated within hours

my soul sours...

it came with emotions I cannot contain—

I grab my brush and watercolor

and try to paint it in vain.

My brushstroke seemingly failed,

I turned my luck to pen

and it nailed.

Thank you Ms Mona... and yes, they are paintings of mine.

I love your poem. Every line has a special word that enables me to see an image. Are the paintings yours as well?
