A devil's TALE

Devil
Was once angel.
So was I, till came she,
Striped my heart of love, leaving only
Hate.

Note from the poet : about Cinquain

Cinquain is a poem with 22 syllables which is arranged in 5 lines following a sequence of 2-4-6-8-2. Cinquain comes from the french word cinq which means 5, hence the strange arrangement of the poem. Origin of cinquain dates back to the 13th and 14th century. However modern cinquains are based on the style left by the notable American poet Adelaide Crapsey ( 1878 - 1914).
