Christmas Wish

It's Christmas time

The clock has chimed

Baby Jesus was born

to be our Savior.

He's making a list

and checking it twice-

for the naughty

and the nice.

Some believe-

Some don’t,

Lift your voice

It’s your choice

I do believe

I have no shame

Upon my lips,

I praise his name

It's Christmas time

The clock has chimed,

Ol’ Saint Nick-

On the North Pole

and checking it twice-

for the naughty

and the nice.

Some believe-

Some don’t,

Lift your voice

It’s your choice.

I do believe

I have no shame

Within my heart,

I keep his name.

Do you ever wonder,

which list you're on;

Or, are you too busy

making your own?

For Ol' Saint Nick-

three pages thick.

For Jesus Christ-

a forgotten sacrifice.

If neither you fancy,

stuff stockings of candy-

for friends and family;

Reese’s are always handy.

Grab a coat and gloves-

which your Mother wove.

Gather for a feast of love;

With those mentioned above.

    Sweet sentiments for the true purpose of celebrating Christmas - Jesus, the reason for the season. I loved the poem and thought it would make a wonderful children's song.
