Children Limerick From the Farm

I can't seem to stop writing poetry or reading poetry. I think it is safe to say I love poetry and I love sharing great poetry with others.

Children Limerick From the Farm

There is a cow from Minnesota

whose life has not changed one iota

he munches on sweet grass

enough to make days pass

at night he dreams of cherry cola.

There is a chicken from Virginia

who wanted to live out in Kenya

there would be no fences

or farmers offences

and never been to California.

There are some Quail from Colorado

who one day were filled with bravado

out from under their bushes

filled coyote wishes

eaten while thinking of Mikado.

There is a dirty pig on the farm

whose filthy lifestyle meant no one harm

farmer slipped on the slop

while sharing daily crop

in the hospital with broken arm.

I love these! Limericks are my favorite poetry, probably because they are the only kind of poetry that I can write.
