Chelaji's Sojourn, 3. Freed From The Burdens of His Abyss
Man in chains
For millennia, he knew only the clanging of his chains,
Cutting through his emotions like a visceral tear.
Until one day, with a burning cry,
Chelaji called upon the Beloved,
Longing to taste the sweetness of Her Love.
Suddenly, a voice was heard from
The valley of the beyond,
Whispering to his soul:
“Love is the Source, the secret of all secrets,
Shining in thy core;
It is the natural tempo; the pulse; the rhythm of all life.
When the day breaks, Light filters in,
But when Love leaves the Heart,
Darkness manifests as callous deeds.
Just as Ignorance imbeds itself,
In the grip of fear and loneliness,
So too Love’s reflections vanishes,
When the face of the mirror, becomes veiled.
When the stars dissipate, we see only a dark night,
But as desires weaken, Delight burns brightly in the soul.
Love annihilate the seeds of doubt,
And promotes clarity in a fog-filled mind.
As a kind thought in action promotes joy,
So too, Love enters and fills the Heart with purest Bliss.
A head wafted with the garlands of lavender,
Does not make the mind sing like roses;
So too, the outer affluence, can sometimes be opposite,
To the inner beauty of the Heart.”
The key of Love
As the Beloved spoke, Chelaji saw the key of Love,
Unlocking his padlock of illusions;
Freeing him from the burdens of his abyss.
Following a ray of hope, he emerged anew,
Into the effulgence of the dawn and became Free!
Now he must return to all his comrades,
Still stuck in their prison-cell of impediments.
Turning around, like a competent Captain,
He re-entered the darkness of the night.

I appreciate all your explanations. I might use the most appropriate terms. I think of the best words I know that describe the feeling I am feeling. Sometimes I lack the word I am looking for and use the best words at the moment. I am always learning and feel everyone is guided to do wonderful things that inspire other people so they also can choose or not to choose the path they see fit. There is always a choice. I am also reading a book called Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch which I am very moved by it. I always like to share something new I learn in my travels. Thank you for your time and effort to reach my inner soul.
Many times I read the same lines but I get further insight to life. In the physical world we struggle to do things but in the mental world it comes easy. A thought can go anywhere it pleases with no restrictions. It can get as big as we want it to be. Then when we carry over to the real world the same thought can be as small as a pea. I wonder why that is ? Any insight would much be appreciated. I enjoy reading your poems. I always walk away slowly thinking many beautiful thoughts. Happy Thanksgiving and may your heart be filled with love and your body be pleased with healthy nourishing food. Your mind sprinkled with great desire.
Wonderful and inspirational.

You have a wonderful way of painting your picture of life with words. All I have to do is listen. Little by little I absorb like a sponge. Enjoy the night.
This is a lovely description of freedom. Love is very important for dispelling darkness in life. Thank you for the reminder, Manatita.
Very nice message to people struggling with the everyday chores of life through this poem.
Manatita, I've held this in my thoughts for more than a day, and it is difficult to respond. This is raw and emotional and powerful, yet there is a glimpse of promise.
This one speaks to the core of we humans... it is story of struggle, of constant struggle, and every living human being will understand it.
Your picture - the first one got me ready to read. In and out of the abyss of battle and then back to the flower's field on soul.
My youngest daughter asked me what heaven would be like to me. I had to be honest - A place of continued struggle.
