Changing Reasons

Every day it seems the beginning of the end
Every pain, every accident, what does it mean
I once felt long, now I feel shorter than that
It is only time, but when does it really begin?

The past, how long should I remember it
For so long my day was only about tomorrow
Then my Dad took his past, leaving mine
Finding it within me is the only thing left

Nobody beside me
It was my choice
Nobody inside me
It was my choice
Now I can’t sleep

Is my liberty all that I have
I thought about the world today
Now I’m not sure of my place
So many things are changing

I know there will be another reason to weep
It’s a way to brace myself just knowing
I can’t ask it feels because I did it to you
Once, I was the reason
Now you’re the reason
Now you're the reason

Nobody beside me
It was my choice
Nobody inside me
It was my choice
Now I can’t sleep
