Cats Kill, Song Lyrics
Singing new song lyrics to an old song tune can be fun! Sometimes it can be difficult to get a 'catchy' song out of our heads; this happened to me while I was coming up with my own words to perfectly match the particular song rhythm, "Love Hurts", by Nazareth. However, after I had finished writing my own version, Cats Kill, these singsong words became a constant in my head!
Love Hurts - Instrumentals - Nazareth
Cats Kill
Cats Want to Kill Us!
Cats rule, cats scratch,
Cats bite, and kill
Sharpened knives, they hide
Jet out; debride
They see the blood, and grin
See the blood, and grin
Cats take their calm stride
With tricks on their mind
Cats kill
Cats kill
I'm blunt, I know,
but it's still so,
Cats must get their own way
They've learned from us
They've learned just way too much
Learned just way too much
Cats will strike us down
On time, they want their lunch
Cats kill
Cats kill
All cats love to mutilate,
Lacerate, obliterate
Then they clean themselves, some more
Wash off bloody stains
Come night, they're plannin' schemes
Come night, they're plannin' schemes
Cats want to kill us
In their eyes, truth gleams
Cats kill
Cats kill

Do Cats Love Us?
Cats Kill
Do cats love us? I believe that cats do love us for what we can do for them. In my opinion, they become attached to us because of the goods, such as food, water, shelter, and cuddles that we give to them. I also think that part of their attachment to us, “their subjects”, might be the familiarity that they have with us, apart from strangers, in whom they might not normally come into contact with as often as they do with those in whom they are around much more often.
Unconditional Love
I do not believe that cats are capable of loving us, unconditionally, as people are able to do with each other. When we love others in this way, our bond to them is not about what they can do for us, but rather, it is that inexplainable affection we feel for them, deep down, for who they are. And, nothing can change our love for that person, no matter what- such as the steadfast, persevering, and unstoppable love that a mother has for her children, and the love that God has for each of us, His children.

That makes sense. How do they say it cats are independent, dogs are loyal.

Robert,
LOL...I believe that about some cats, for sure! Cats are narcissistic and I believe they consider us here only for their own pleasure. When they get bored of us, they disappear. If, during this time, we wish to visit with them, they go on attack-mode. Of course, when it’s lunchtime, they “love” us, again. Ha haha.

Another clever poem set to music. Some radio personalities mentioned a couple of days ago on the radio about an article that claims cats really want to kill their owners, and would if they were bigger. Cats are natural hunters.

Flourish, Awwe...thank you..lol.
My cats do not love me unconditionally. If I’m late on the treats or meals, I’m on their Most Wanted list. They need etiquette training from your cats I’d venture to say..lol
