Candles of Love. A Soulful Offering to Patricia Scott (pstraubie48). Saturday's Inspiration 2

Manatita is an esteemed author living in London, UK. He writes spiritual books, flash fiction and esoteric poetry, his favourite genre.

Wisdom-Quote from the Master

"If we remember

All our good qualities

And all the good things

We have done,

Then we will receive

Tremendous inner strength and joy."-Sri Chinmoy

Nature's Gold

"Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf,
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day
Nothing gold can stay." -Robert Frost

"Only lovers
see the fall
a signal end to endings
a gruffish gesture alerting
those who will not be alarmed
that we begin to stop
in order to begin
again." -Maya Angelou

Candles of Love

There are many candles in my words today;

The rhapsody of heaven awakens to their flame.

A delicate breath caresses the eardrums,

Carrying a rhythm and eloquence unmatched.

O Love! Spring heralds Your enfolding splendour,

Thy warm, radiant beams stroking my core,

With mellifluous words, that bathes the Soul.

Come, O Bards, O lovers of intonations,

My lips are calling; the Spirit burns with passion.

How I love these silent satsangs with my friends!

Can you come a little closer?

Listen … our conjoined thrills soar over Jordan,

Singing together like cordless kites;

Burning the Light of the Heart with floods of Joy.

-Manatita, The Lantern Carrier, 23rd March 2018.

Wise and Soulful Quotes from Bard and Seer Poets

"Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run ..." From John Keats Ode to Autumn

" Adversity makes you dynamic

Adversity forces your eyes wide open

Adversity teaches you the meaning of patience

Adversity endows you with faith in yourself." -Sri Chinmoy

Wisdom-Quote from Nellieanna Hay. Taken from 'Transparent Heart'. A most sublime piece of writing

"I'm riding high

On this relation-ship,

Savoring every move,

Each bite and sip;

Letting go of landmarks

Where they no longer fit,

To better see the way,

The way which is itself -

Is IT!

This Feeling of Love

"This feeling of love,

made me as high as a kite,

gave my imagination wings.

I wanted to fly to the skies,

glide along with the clouds -

that had a shimmery silvery glow.

there was no more fight left in me,

when I surrendered to love..." _Gypsy Rose Lee (Rasma Raisters) Taken from 'This feeling of Love."

Wise quote from Emily Dickinson

But Not Yet, Sweet Patricia, Not Yet.

The Waiting Room of Heaven Sit Now

Feel the mist of air surround you.
Touch the wind as it moves through you.
Stroke the door of your heart and feel.
You blind me with your loveliness-
This loveliness, so quiet and still,
so unannounced.

You have surprised my heart,
my heart so languid.
You held my heart and made me feel,
nestled against the shoulder of my grief
I have found your loveliness comforting.

Come now to me.

Yes, Bill puts us to shame with the beautiful flowers that he showed us. Again, I haven't looked. Isabella plantation at Richmond Park is so, so beautiful. When we are in a serene state, it is like heaven on earth

Ann Carr from SW England on April 03, 2018:

Enjoy Africa! At least you will have some sun - as I type that, the sun appears albeit briefly! A tease of Spring.

manatita44 (author) from london on April 03, 2018:

Yes... just a kid, Ann. We all are.

I love spring also. So beautiful!! I will be gone on Thursday. Going to the sunny trails of Africa for a change. Much Love to you today. Gratitude to you and family.

Ann Carr from SW England on April 03, 2018:

Patricia certainly deserves such a tribute and this is full of hope and wonder.

I love the seasonal photos. I'm so glad I live in a country with the separate seasons and I love Keats 'Ode to Autumn' but Spring is my favourite - daffodils, the arrival of the sun (maybe soon!), the rebirth of life, and my birthday (just a kid!).

manatita44 (author) from london on April 02, 2018:

You could not have honored a more deserving person than Patricia Scott. She and her family need prayers and support from as many people as possible. She is a pillar of strength for her family and always looks at the bright side of life despite hardships that would overwhelm many others.

manatita44 (author) from london on March 25, 2018:

So kind. I usually remember her and as a model of someone who accepts her lot and gets on with it. I have my moments and I'm sure that she has hers also, but I do admire Patricia as a beacon of Hope, fortitude and sweet sacrifice in this life. I feel proud and assured about her inner graces.

Thank you, Bro. Love to Bev.

manatita44 (author) from london on March 25, 2018:

So sweet of you to say so! Thank you so much!! have a blessed Sunday.

I love those lines Tim! They are different yes, but reminds me of Coleridge:

"Prose, words in their best order;

Poetry, the best words in their best order." Again, they remind me of Guruji's,

"Prayer, I speak and God listens; Meditation, God speaks and I listen."

What an especially sweet sentiment from you! Love it!

I met Maya Angelou, while working for God. She was a very godly woman. She had just finished her performance in which she gave everything, yet she insisted on seeing us. How gracious! It was here in London, one of the Festival Halls I don't remember which. It was a long time ago. Higher blessings this Sunday.

Linda Crampton from British Columbia, Canada on March 24, 2018:

This article is a lovely mixture of your own poetry with that of other people. The overall effect is beautiful.

Tim Truzy from U.S.A. on March 24, 2018:

I cannot find words to describe the harmony and majesty of your poetry, dear brother. So, here is a quote:

Painting is silent poetry, and poetry is painting that speaks."

Again, you amaze me. I was able to visualize the beauty of spring, feel His love, and experience the work of great poets (including you) all in one lovely article.

Once I met Mia Angelou when she presented at a university here. I believe she would have liked your work.

I learn, grow, and experience when I read your work, Manatita44.

I will sleep well this evening.

Much love,

Deepest respect,

manatita44 (author) from london on March 24, 2018:

I played with 'discourse' and 'dialogue', but while they would definitely have been easier for my friends at Poetry Café, they do not do justice to poets and poetess's like you and I. Satsang does, although I knew I ran the risk of losing some readers, for what I'm saying here, I know you will agree it's a much more beautiful word.

You are always in tune with what I'm doing. Yes, I wanted to wander through the seasons. We are in Spring, naturally, but we are talking about Patricia and I wanted to include a lot of sunshine, in more ways than one.

I note that you have silently and graciously allowed the use of the poem. God bless your loving Heart. Very happy that you came and first at that. Gratitude... much!

Nellieanna Hay from TEXAS on March 24, 2018:

Incredibly beautiful, - - the words, the music, the illustrations, the spirit.

I love the narration which wanders through the passing seasons with fine-tuned empathy and love.

And - I learned a word: satsang.

Thank you for yet another heart-and-spirit-expanding delight, Manatita!
