Bury My Darkness

I remember the dream
But not where I was
Flying above the ground
But not the sound it made
It was inside my time
Ticking ticking away

There was no runaround
The weather never mattered
To everything I wanted
Dreams, partial and true
The suffering was morning
The joy, sleepy submission

There is nothing so shallow
As the limits of the light
I bury my troubles
Inside the darkness
All I need is your touch
Even if I never wake up

A sense of poignancy in this thought provoking poem Mark. You have a way with words.
