Brush Country Woman

Brush country woman
How I love your mind
Walking through the sage
Gathering rocks in the mist
Enduring changing times

Conglomerate under foot
Windmill breezy sounds
It's a beautiful thing
The way her heart plants
Her feet in this holy ground

Brush country woman
She’d rather live on this land
From the top of the hill she sees
The care of her family’s hand

Into her heart the breezes flow
The way it turns I already know
The calm no matter the pain
The climb no matter the rain

Brush country woman
She’ll take you there
If it’s you, help her count the stars
There are so many you can see
That’s how much she really cares

The good shepherd brought her here
It's the flock that dries her tears
Her hair hangs low, look how it falls
Her beauty reflects off conquistador walls

Brush country woman
She’d rather live on this land
From the top of the hill she sees
The care of her family’s hand
