The Thoughts Behind The Poem

Whenever you are travelling to a foreign country, what are the essential documents, which you have to arrange compulsorily?

• Passport
• Visa
• Foreign Currency
• Documents to certify the purpose of your visit
• Some handbook about the local traffic rules, food, culture, language etc.

In addition, you must have a travel insurance, health insurance, medical reports, prescriptions of the doctors (if you are on some kind of medications), and many more important documents. Then there are security checks, of you and your belongings etc.

What I am trying to convey is, that if you are crossing the “Borders” of your own country, you have to follow many rules and regulations, in order to visit another country.

No 'Borders' for 'Them'

The same is not true for the Birds, the Wind, the Clouds, the Rivers, the Oceans, the Sun, the Moon, the Stars and so on.
Is it not beautiful and significant?
And, how wonderful it would be, if there were no “Borders”?

The Whole planet Earth is beautiful, and for everyone to see.

Such thoughts were doing the rounds in my mind, and I have tried to express the same in the following poem.
Hope the readers like it.

No 'Borders' For 'Them' (Poem)

Looking up at the vast blue sky,

A strange thought occurred to me,

I saw the birds flapping their wings,

With pride, grace and style,

How I wish to fly like them,

Without caring about the ”Borders”

I can feel the cool breeze,

Caressing my face and skin,

And spreading the fragrance,

Of the flowers, they just blew past,

As if whispering something to me,

Or teasing me, at my helplessness,

And those majestic, flowing rivers,

No “Borders” can prevent them,

From flowing in their stream,

Touching and embracing the soil,

Without caring about the ”Borders”

The birds, the wind, the rivers,

Seem to be asking me,

Can you fly, blow and flow like us,

With a sigh, I admit, I can’t,

A thought occurs to me,

Who made the “Borders”, anyway,

and why at all,

Not the ‘Creator’, for sure!!
