Bewildered by Love

Bewildered by Love,

My Heart calls out from a vast arena of joyful tears.

Light! My Light! I am bemused and speechless by

Thy presence, Your burning flames, turning my veil

Of sorrow into pleasantries; my bane of agony into Delight.

Thank You for the banquet par excellence. For eons,

I was a beggar at the portals of Thy distillery, seeking

Only Your sweet wine. When the Sitar has lost its lustre,

And its chords out of harmony with the Dao, then there’s

Only the agony of longing, left to the confused Lover, trying

To find his way Home. Oh Queen, tune well my Sitar!

Come! My Beloved, Thy evocative melodies are hauntingly

Beautiful! Let me play with Your cute locks, kiss Thy sweet scent

In this charmed oasis of pomegranate flowers, where birds

Become serenaded by the glories of another golden dawn.

How I long for immersion, in this river of Thy Rhapsody, so that

Like drunken mystic Lovers, my Soul will start singing of Thy sweetness.

- Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. 14th March, 2020

Very sweet of you to say so, Peggy.

I recite poetry in public and have had some of the most amazing responses! Some people are very receptive to the Light infused within the poem. Again, there are some where I deliberately add aspects of the persons life or character. Thank you so much!!

Peggy Woods from Houston, Texas on March 19, 2020:

This post truly touched Diane! It is easy to see that from her comment. We never know just how far or wide is the influence of our words. It makes me think of the effect of a pebble tossed into a pond and the ripple effect it has. Thanks for writing another inspiring post about love.

A very loving sentiment from you. Yes, I'm by nature a sincere soul. A little firm, sometimes, but I'm doing it for a reason when ever I do so. Thank you for this heartfelt piece.

Devika Primić from Dubrovnik, Croatia on March 18, 2020:

It is a great pleasure for me to read your work. In every write you share the goodness from your heart. Other hubbers as I do must feel honored to read what you share about them and of what you think of them. This is a way to show us hubbers you are kind and truthful in what you write and I am proud to follow our increasingly interesting and entertaining hubs.

Well, Diane,

I'm speechless too! You say so much in just a few lines. So happy that you love my work. I had another friend like you here, but she's gone off to get married. Marital and other commitments now, I suppose.

There are others here who also recognize the value of my work. Actually, words do more than kiss, they save lives and offers solace to many!

I hope your dreams to Christ and your work for Him continues. Mark Tulin is a good man, so you're in good company.

Feel free to blush. Don't forget to respond and tell me a little more about your life on email. Peace.

Diane Denison from Cincinnati Ohio on March 17, 2020:

Well I am speechless. And I wrote a comment about your poetry about Bill. Just Before reading this, Manatita44 . I wrote that you experience other people essence as they express there feelings in poetry and you flow with them. I am almost in tears, I thought my poetry would be dust in the wind floating to the heavens . I never imagined my writings kissing others. And to be honest I am shy and feel a form of being embarrassed when I publish poetry. But I am obligated to write and published. I gave Christ a promised in 2013 if I made it through an ordeal I would write about his beauty and the holy angels which are Seers, Saints and Holy Host. I publish it in 3 different places (representing the trinity) on my domain site christ cosmic dancer.com , on hub pages, then on Facebook. I have written is spurts starting in 2018 for a couple months, then in 2019 for a couple months. And then now in 2020 starting Feb 8. Mark Tulin. a hubber is the only one that read my writings starting in 2018. Publishing it on Face Book, no one reads it. My family does not know I write or if I mentioned it to them, they have no curiosity raised. I am so honored by your acknowledgement. An esteem author well known. You wrote an article about me acknowledging my poetry dedicated to Christ, Seers, Angels, Saints and Holy Host. I feel like Christ is hugging me and telling me your writing was not written in vain . I always thought my writing was not good, But I had to keep biting the bullet and kept writing. A tear is rolling down my face. Thank you so much. And yes, I am blushing and feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Ah, Ruby.

'Heal the wounds of loss.' Wow! I love this piece! Only a mother who has lost a dear one can say this. How is Audrey Hunt, by the way? Not heard from her. Peace!

Ruby Jean Richert from Southern Illinois on March 16, 2020:

I almost missed this one. A lovely tribute to Diane. Your words are so soothing and they heal the wounds of loss. Thank you.

Indeed, Pamela, indeed!

Thank you so much for your loving presence here and have a blessed Sunday evening. Peace.

Pamela Oglesby from Sunny Florida on March 15, 2020:

I thought of how sweet love is when i read your poetry. The sayings were also so appropriate. Fear is never a good thing and it stops us from doing the things we might love and it may stop us from taking a chance on love. Very nicely don, Manatita. God Bless.
