Bewildered Affection, Mixed Emotions

I have stumbled across a new passion: writing. It is proving to be insightful and rewarding.

Mixed Emotions

Mixed Emotions

I feel heavy laying on my bed,
A dead weight, barely able to lift my head.
The night is leaving, the dawn is here.
Feels like I haven’t slept a wink in what seems a year.

I’m much too restless, trembling too.
I’m too insecure here without you.
Allow me if you will,
To be quiet, to be still.

My body is wearing.
My mind is tearing.
I seek to be a reflection of the love I am craving.
Would you join me in sharing the love I am creating?

Let us walk with nature.
Let us take our time.
Let us comfort our loneliness.
Let’s nurture the fondness of our love for one another with devotion.

Haven't read much poetry recently. Really enjoyed this.
