Believing is Not Always Seeing

What part of the world holds the pearls?
Is it where I will never be?
How can I go if I can't find the time to start?
I won't live without knowing a baby cries
The tide is it's tears, the sand it's mothers heart

Every name I recall has a place in my world
I added you as a piece of human history
It's mine too but what I am is not all you can see
But I don't have to always see it to believe it

I have some morals that I wish to speak of
Let's begin with the only one that matters, love
Love that is as embarrassing as it is deep
But can I tell you how I feel anyway?
I'll say it even if you're walking away

What rings in your ears is who I am
But that is the residue of a sound I once made
It bends in the air while you wonder what happened
Did you understand what I was trying to say?
It's about the lands we think of but can only imagine

Every name I recall has a place in my world
I added you as a piece of human history
It's mine too but what I am is not all you can see
But I don't have to always see it to believe it
