Belated Soul's Day, Sweet Mother Divine. A Very Soulful Offering to Ann Carr

Manatita is an esteemed author living in London, UK. He writes spiritual books, flash fiction and esoteric poetry, his favourite genre.

"...Each birthday is a petal of a flower. The flower, petal by petal, blossoms and then it is ready to be placed at the inner shrine in the aspiring heart..." -Sri Chinmoy

Bluebells and orchids sing to me of seasonal spring.

Butterflies prepare for the blossoming aromas,

Heralding the advent of another glorious dawn.

The wondrous intimacy in a garden of Light,

Is so reminiscent of the sanctity of birth!

Yet the mother’s joy is full of struggle,

Interlaced with affection and tender embrace.

“Push!” The midwife entreats: “Push!”

The gift of life glows as the glint of hyacinths,

An immaculate sweetness of sacrificial delight.

Sweet mother divine! Your fortitude,

A microcosmic prototype, of the macrocosm of God.

Your sacred surrendering soulfulness,

Given to you by the Weaver Himself.

Your dutiful life, doth from the father

Take away the whip, thus bearing silently,

The sorrows of ingratitude.

Sweet mother divine, all praise to the Potter

Who molded you, into the plenitude of Love Divine.

-Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. 7th May, 2018.

~ Awakening The Inner Light ~

"The Supreme sends Eternity, Infinity and Immortality down into the world to feed His divine child, the soul. Eternity serves the breakfast, Infinity the lunch and Immortality the dinner. Eternity tells the soul where it is, Infinity tells the soul how far to go, Immortality tells the soul when and where to stop..." -Sri Chinmoy

Wisdom-Quote from Sri Chinmoy

"Each birthday is a new awakening. Each birthday is a new hope. Each birthday is a new promise. Each birthday is a new fulfillment..." -Sri Chinmoy

"Each birthday is a tune, a melody of the universal music. Each individual is also a melody of the universal music. The seeker grows and glows in his music, which he can hear with his soulful ears... the soul needs to climb like music, soulful music. The soul, when it climbs, knows no boundaries, no religious barriers, no political boundaries. It is all freedom, freedom within and freedom without..." -Sri Chinmoy

A very Happy Mother's Day past, now and the ones to come

Belated Happy Notes

Note: So sorry I'm late, my dear Ann. If it was not power-cuts, then it was 'necessary' distractions and I wanted to do a loving piece.

While we always, always celebrate birthdays, I have known Sri Chinmoy to bring it forward or backward. It is a bit like meditation. We feel that we have done everything right and we are going to have a great one, but we don't. We feel that we have done everything wrong and yet we have a great meditation.

In the same way, we do not necessarily feel great on our birthday, but can feel better on other days. No hard and fast rules here.

A mother's selflessness and sacrifice; her Love and fortitude are perhaps the closest thing to the divine. I know of your care and concern for your loving family. I have tried to compliment both glorious events. God bless you all.

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to You. We love your soul's rainbow-dreams promise-play

Yes Sean.

She is my English Sister, like Nikki. She also loves nature and has a very strong family bond like you. She is also an excellent writer like you but without the constraints, as English is her native tongue.

Peace, Love, Light ...

Beautiful sentiments in the tribute to Ann. My favorite word picture here is "joy...full of struggle." It says so much in so few words.

As I am you, Manatita.

Hello Manatita. I like how you are able to write a poem showing the sacrifice of a mother and the garden aspects of it brings a refreshing feeling which leads to the thought of new birth...birthdays. The suffering during labour is beautified and brings the essence of love. Nice quote on the difference between infinity, eternity and immortality. Thanks for sharing. :)

manatita44 (author) from london on May 09, 2018:

Yes, my dear Nellieanna.

Read about her before. How precious she was to you and in your life!

Remember your George too. Much Love. Gratitude

Ah, so Sweet!

I see that you have covered some favourites today. Thank you so much!

I sort of sense your love of nature, like me; you travel, like me and your family is very dear to you, I know.

So happy that you like it ... the efforts I put together. So this is your 4th birthday in May. Lol. I really love these flowers and they do feature in a lot of my poetry, particularly Spring ones. Gratitude ... much!!

Note: You probably know that America's is Sunday. Ours is 11th March or thereabouts.

Ann Carr from SW England on May 09, 2018:

Thank you, manatita! What a kind thing to do. I love birthdays and I love being a mother and grandmother.

We celebrate Mothers' Day here in March but, as you say, it doesn't matter when the day is. My birthday was celebrated with in-laws but when I got home I had another two days when I celebrated it with each of my daughters and their children, so in all I had 3 birthdays! That's great and I totally agree with you about the day of celebration being moved to suit.

Beautiful poetry and beautiful flowers, all of which I felt at one with, so you've got it exactly right. Thanks again! You've lifted my soul!
