Beach Dog
Since the moment I held a pencil I've been creating with drawings and words. I believe paintings enlighten and poems entice our audiences.
Each dog that I paint has a unique character of their own and that's what makes them fun. They love to play at the beach, enjoy life, and be happy. It's something we could learn from for our own personal health.
A Happy Dog at the Beach
Beach Dog
Here I sit on the beach
Sand on my tongue
The wind on my face
My ears blown about
I listen to sounds of birds
As they fly by
On the air up high
Waves roll around
On the sand
Making pictures of their own
Seaweed drags back and forth
In traces of mosaic patterns
The sun caresses my skin
It fuels my insides with warmth
Smells emanate from beach food
Hamburgers and hotdogs
My mouth waters
I feel alive
I love the beach.

Thank you Lorna. I'm thankful that my poem brought out for you wonderful memories of your dog. I've always loved going to dog's beach and watching our furry friends tackle the mystery of those relentless waves. It's beyond cute. You take care my friend as well.

This wonderful poem created so many lovely memories in my mind. Our dog loved the beach, he used to bark at the waves because he couldn't catch them (mad as a hatter). There is something so endearing about your painting Mary and you perfectly captured the character of this cheeky little dog. Beautifully written and a joy to read. Take care my friend.
