Be Strong Especially When We Struggle

Don't Let It Break You Apart

Working to get things done

We are not going to always see eye to eye

Each trying our different ways to get to the same goal

Tensions grow high

Tempers flare

The room heats up

No easy solution

Confused and tired

We can't stop now

Too far forward to go back

We decide to pick up the best we can

Then continue on another day

We eat and regather our thoughts

Both admit we were trying our best

Things weren't working out

Both apologized for getting mad

Look what we did do

Made some progress even if it wasn't as far as we expected

Another day we can continue where we left off

Truth is we are both tired and sore

Time to catch some rest and relax

Let our minds connect

Knowing we always work better together than apart

Peggy Woods It is easy to go to sleep and not want to get out of bed. At least sleep a little later than usual. Bring back good thoughts of all the kind people in the world makes everything feel good. Even if the bad will eventually come back. For the bumps in the road, I am working on building a road bump grinder to smooth those bumps when they arise and cause us trouble. Then I can share it with anyone who needs it at any time. Then we can all laugh together. Thank you so much for helping and sharing. May every day be more wonderful than the next.

Devika Primic I am so happy you liked my poem. It is hard living in a state of turmoil. I want it so much to be a thing of my past. Not so easy when there is still so much more that can last. We learn a lot about each other and who we are under pressure. I like to go back to more caring and understanding. Those feelings make me feel better than any negative ones I can and have felt. I don't even want to mention them. Giving them no power over me. Have a great night. So nice to see your smile. It makes me realize life is more beautiful than I even thought. Thank you for reading and sharing.

Sometimes things look better after a good night's sleep. If not, then approach each day doing what is possible with the best attitude. There are bound to be bumps in the road.

Lorna Lamon I wish we could of avoided it but I think we both overreacted. It is not as bad as it seems. Sometimes I get so involved in what I am doing I can only see a certain outcome. As we know there are many different scenarios that can happen. Today we were expected rain and it is snowing out. Surprise once again. Last week I saw someone in shorts and no shirt. April is a funny month. Now I know why they call April first April Fools day. Sometimes we need a reminder of how good we have it by seeing how we come together after a little altercation or misunderstanding. I like to think of it as a blooper. Like on t.v. that everyone can see and laugh at after. Thank you for always being there. I am glad you spend most of your time helping people to see what is the better alternative. Have a good morning.

DREAM ON we have to be strong even at our weakest points. This life has taught us to be that way. Your poem is incredible!

Rochelle Ann De Zoysa You are so right. We are growing leaps and bounds. I think I hit puberty all over again. Life has many twists some we are never ready for. Then it has a lot of surprises that can make life sweet as sweet can be. Seeing your smiling face helps anyone change their mood. I hope your Friday turns out fantastic. Thank you for visiting and please come again.

DREAM ON (author) on April 16, 2021:

John Hansen In our case I think we through down our tools. We needed time to hit refresh. We forgot where the pause button was. At least I did. I never liked unnecessary pressure, especially at home. At work, it is kind of expected. Unwanted also but unavoidable. After a cooling-off period. All is good. Maybe we are so much alike but then in some ways so much different. It is a good thing. I love when things work out well. Not so much when things go to --ll. I try not even to say it. Then this way it won't even be on my mind next time. Thank you for reading and sharing your own experiences. It is nice to see how other people handle not only the good days but the bad ones too. So we can all get on with our life and love more than before. Have a great night it is only eight-thirty in the morning here. So my day is just starting when your day is coming to an end. (lol)

Chrish Canosa We are family and we have to learn to rise above the rough waters. It is not always easy and we get scared and afraid. We can look at our past and find many other times that remind us it was difficult and uncertain and we made it through to today. Why should we change what works so well? Just because we have disagreements it doesn't mean to jump ship. Batton down the hatches and hunker in. The easiest way is not to run away. Stay and see it through to the end. Little surprises can pop up and will we have to be looking for them along the way. It is easy to miss them when we are stressed. I always want to send big hugs to you and your family of course all your lovely furry friends included. Thank you for stopping in. I know how busy you are. Keep doing what you are doing. Don't forget to enjoy the trip not just the destination. Have a wonderful and sweet day.

Ann Carr I am more of a planner and then a doer. My wife sees it as we are wasting time. We could be done with this already. I have to take a step back and say is this what I want and will it work. My wife is already ready for total Spring cleaning. After this, the winter curtains come down, and then we have one project after another. Whoa, let's take it slow. We haven't even changed the room around. Now things I love don't fit and they have to go somewhere. We have a damp basement so that is not the place I want to put things. The reason things got ruined before is they had no where to go. I understand our home is for living and enjoying now. I have so many dreams still to dream. My wife will join me as she has on the trip. Sometimes stopping along the way and said you go first call me in a little bit. It is o.k. she has things she likes to do that I am not the biggest fan of. We always support each other in being there either physically or emotionally. My wife compliments me and encourages me. It is always great to see praise on the HubPages. It has to be earned. Trying hard to make things right doesn't always work. Sometimes the pieces just don't fit. (lol) then we can cry then learn to laugh. Thank you so much for always thinking of me. Have a great day. Rain here. Nature needs it's love. Keep smiling and have a lot of fun.

Ann Carr from SW England on April 16, 2021:

It's not always easy to work together, especially if you have slightly different ideas. Team effort! I think if you trust each other, it usually works out in the end. I leave most things to my partner, as he is the most practical person I know! As long as we can apologise for any bad moods, that's fine and normal. Tiredness is usually the reason too!

Lorna Lamon on April 16, 2021:

This is so true Dream On and I think I have been down this path as well. However, I believe that everything looks so much better in the morning after a good night's rest. An enjoyable read.

Rochelle Ann De Zoysa from Moratuwa, Sri Lanka on April 16, 2021:

Yes it's always better together than being apart :) Arguments and disagreements help us to be more understanding and grow into maturity. Have a blessed day!

John Hansen from Gondwana Land on April 16, 2021:

Dream On, my wife and I don't always see things the same way when we are working on a project together, but the result is usually much better if we work together than alone. When you are tired you tend to get cranky so it is better to put down tools and resume later or the next day.

Chrish Canosa from Manila Philippines on April 16, 2021:

Wonderful day ahead Sir Dreamon!!!!

The family also look at each other often addressing apologies for being mad with a super warm hugs and kisses. So very good feeling. That is the most important after the anger wink wink... Lots of love and hugs!!!! Hi to your wife and your fur baby.

schoolgirlforreal I have a cat Charlotte. She gives me the strangest looks. Like you know what I am going to say. Why do I have to use words? They are just wasting my time and yours. O.k. my cat might just be smarter than me. What is your kitty's name? I love to hear some of the coolest names. Then I go I wish I thought of that. Just a little jealous. O.k. I am over it. I believe animals know us better than we know ourselves. Another day of mixed emotions. Just like Halloween when you can't wait to get all the cool candy. Then some how your mother and father make it disappear. It is better to have some than none. Thank you so much for reading and sharing another view of life. Have a awesome Friday Rose.

Dream on,

BRENDA ARLEDGE My wife is usually right. I can't see it when I am trying to do things. My mind is five steps forward and my wife just wants to get the job done. I constantly have ideas that are just thoughts that mean something to me. My wife will support me to a point. She doesn't always follow me down the yellow brick road. That might be because those bricks were red at one time so why would they be yellow now? I am always trying to build a better mousetrap. It all starts with an idea. Many times my wife doesn't want to hear. So we move forward and sometimes at light speed. I think I blinked. Did you see me blink? It was so quick. I might have just squinted really fast. When all is over and done I know I wouldn't have got this far without my wife's support. She lets me write all the time. So I take a deep breath and swallow some pride. Even if I wouldn't have done it this way. It had to be done. It would have taken forever alone. Maybe she is a blessing in disguise. I am so happy I came along for the ride. Thank you again and again for your kindness and helpful suggestions. Reading on when I struggle with discomfort and sadness. Have a great Friday.

BRENDA ARLEDGE from Washington Court House on April 15, 2021:

Great one.

We all have those days, but working together for a solution is a great goal.

Glad you have communication.

Jamie Lee Hamann I hope your day went better than mine. My wife and I were cleaning and what I thought was good she had a different opinion. We tried to organize and change the room around. Well, when we were done it ended up looking better but three boxes of extra stuff to put somewhere but not here. So I was frustrated and she was tired. Not a good combination. It all worked out. I found a few different places for the stuff. Out of sight. Out of mind. I need more time. I am glad I could help. Some things don't come easy. Writing what happens after the fact is something that writes itself. As long as I am willing to stop and listen. Accepting a little good with some bad. Finding more good in the end. Thank you for stopping by. Friends are always welcome. You made my night better than my day. Have a great Friday.

Jamie Lee Hamann from Reno NV on April 15, 2021:

Thank you just the poem I needed at the moment. Jamie
