Balm of Love on Restless Mind: A Poem
Persistently dreaming, striving for more
putting our metal to yet another new test
aiming for more than life keeps in its store
with search for the absent, hoping for best.
Like inevitable shadow of all crazy willing
sprout out obstacles, one bad as the next
squeezing fancy in some walls and ceiling
just allowing heavens to hear of our quest.
All along gently clinging to that fence
climbs the ivy of love as a consolation
cooling down that maddening suspense
as if begging us to leave that futile fixation.
Like a sweetest balm for those broken dreams
and all unanswered prayers to our capricious fate
whisper of this love outlouds the loudest of all whims
making the smallest around us to appear somehow great.
So, maybe obstacles were the secret blessing
or some heavenly answer to all those prayers
throwing us on knees with a tearful confessing
turning some achievers into happy life-players.
Now I hear that joyful ticking in my chest
and the bird out there singing to its rhyme
so what can I get better for here is the best
that aroma of new spring smelling so divine.
