The Backdrop

Brenda Arledge, a fellow writer, a talented poetess and a friend, every week gives us a word prompt to help creativity within us. This week, she has given us word prompt, “Regret”. Thank you, Brenda. This really helps creativity. I enjoy participating here. It feels great after scribbling something.

Following are the two poems in response to this word prompt. Hope Brenda and all my hubber friends like my response.

Backing a Lost Soul in Regret - Poem

O beautiful soul, what are you thinking?

Thinking of something you failed to execute,

Or something you wanted, but you are lacking,

Or your words to others made you mute.

Do not worry,

Do not be sad,

You are worthy,

Do not regret & punish yourself.

It was an experience you had.

Do not waste your precious time,

Behind something which was not meant for you.

You do not have any superpower to climb,

No magic is in your hands to make your fate shine.

Take a lesson from things you failed to do.

Do not over think and break your heart too.

Keep trying,

And make the most out of the blessed time.

Do not lose hope.

Believe in yourself.

Takeoff whenever you fail,

do not stop until success lands.

Leave your sadness onto your Creator,

Believe in Him,

You are His beauteous creation.

He has scheduled finer plans for you.

Though you don’t have words to say

Talk to Him,

He loves to listen,

He knows what’s in your heart,

Only He knows how hard you try.

Just keep working hard,

Ask Him to show you the right path,

Work on the things of your interest,

Live your life to the fullest.

Do not let your words ruin your relationships,

Immediately say sorry,

And move further,

Grow strong together.

Time gone will never come back again,

Time you have, use it wisely.

Think, you have a beautiful life ahead.

Open your wings and fly like a butterfly.

Acrostic Poem

Regret welcomes unhappiness

Every moment in it is waste

Going to happen anyway

Relax yourself

Experience it

To learn a lesson

Live and enjoy a regret free life!

Live and enjoy a regret free life!

Rozlin

In your poem, "Backing a Lost Soul in Regret - Poem" you tell us not to worry.

You tell us to pick up right where we failed and keep going until we find success.

You tell us to talk with God for ge knows what is in our hearts & he has a plan for our life.

You tell us to not to waste precious time being sad over something that wasn't meant for us.

Learn from our mistakes and know time will not come back again so use it wisely.

Live each day like it might be your last.

Enjoy each moment.

Then in your acrostic poem you tell us we are going to have regrets, but we should embrace them.

Learn from our mistakes.

You have done a terrific job.

I will post a link in the word prompt article.
