At Twilight
Your kind of poetry who is simply written but is deeply understood.
I'm sitting here alone
Facing the horizon.
As the heavens shown
This red and orange cotton.
It was a blanket of pastel
Embracing the sky.
But somehow my heart fell
With this world passing by.
It was a blaze of fire
That somewhat caught my eye.
As my heart deeply desire
To let it stay for a while.
I never felt this warmth
As I move a little closer.
But would it cause me harm
If it'll stay a little longer?
It was this twinkling ambiance
I never felt before.
And having this little chance
Is what I am here for.
I hope the time would freeze
For me to savor this limit.
And to feel the warm breeze
Of this new drawn memories.
And now, the time is done,
I guess it should go now.
But something will never be gone
That made me wonder somehow.
I don't even know why
That in a moment I was caught.
The glimpse that made me cry
And the magic that it brought.
I should just wait, maybe
For a new day to come around
Till the moment I would see
The one that made my heart sound.

Truly Miss Lorna, it's so wonderful to gather all the memories and recall it once in a while. Thank you so much for appreciating this poem.

Sometimes it is our memories which bring us the most joy. This is a beautiful poem, which touched my heart.
