I have been writing poetry, fiction and short stories for many years and have completed a book of poems. I also enjoy comedy writing.
At the end of the day you have to stand alone
Forget all the social media likes and the numerous calls on the phone
At the end of the day friends you thought you had disappear like a fallen angel
At the end of the day husbands and wives change their minds about love
And you are left alone and teary, no one to call your own
At the end of the day the best person to listen to your problems is you
Talk to yourself, yourself will figure out what to do
At the end of the day, God turns his back and leaves you on the hospital bed to die
As your organs fail, you suffer in pain, surrounded by temporary cries
You can only give true account for yourself and no other one
For just as you were born alone, death will turn the same stone
Look around you, there are no free meals given
It is up to you to make your very own living
At the end of the day, people will console you and tell you they know how you feel
But the hurt is yours only, only you knows the true damage of the ordeal
At the end of the day, people will pray for you, but do you believe?
Are you inviting bad energy or telling it to leave?
At the end of the day, you have control over nothing
But yet, your mind and body is yours, and that is a beautiful thing.
So at the end of the day, no matter what the energy brings or do
It is simply all about you.
