If Ashes Built Pillars...

If ashes built pillars I would bathe in the sun

Like winter gave way to the scorching summer

To melt a sculpted beauty, a rare warm possibility

If ashes built pillars I would bathe in the sun

Like the settled pavement made of dusts

Invariably got smeared, in the wind so seared

If ashes built pillars I would bathe in the sun

And the monsoon that promises to tranquilize

Fails to extinguish, leaving burns I couldn't distinguish

If ashes built pillars I would bathe in the sun

Seasons keep recycling, as is in their 'nature'

Promising promises that can't heal blemishes

If ashes built pillars I would bathe in the sun

The sun that could only stay bright and fiery

Illuminating with flashes, to identify the ashes

You did it, Ari! I'm so impressed with your ability to elicit emotion with words. Thank you for bringing your Tuesday forum offering to your page and letting it bloom. I look forward to reading more.
