Kenya's Delight

Today the sun shines brilliantly,

Piercing through an indigo blue sky.

The gentle ripples from the transparent pool,

Embraces the light and glistens,

Gleaming its lustre, to the adjacent surroundings.

The verdant hue of the leaves and foliages',

Waltz with symmetry, their ecology awash with vibrancy.

The starlings continue to mimic the beatitudes of Christ,

And even the diligent gardener, preening the hedges,

Fills my Heart with speechless Joy.

O Light, my comforting Light; my Priestess of solace,

I feel You, soaring with the eagle of my Spirit.

The cute, petite Chinese girl with the straw-woven hat,

Seems enamoured with Your rays,

As my soul sings to the morning's sun,

Echoing the lyrics of Marley's Love. -Manatita, 23rd April, 2018

O Light, my Glimmering Light, Burn

It burns, sifting the soul of its entanglements.

My caged bird longs to soar,

But the grey mist of smoke lingers,

Unfamiliar with the Torch-Bearer's Light.

Long have I carried this veil of darkness,

Long has this 'sweet' Flame consumed my Heart.

A thousand fires raged day and night,

Tormenting the impediments of Freedom.

Entrenched in the mesh of the spider's web,

I tugged at the strands of my own creation.

Then She came, piercing my night with illumining rays,

Erasing my shadows from the abyss.

Burn! Burn! Sweet Fire! My Love.

O Light, my glimmering Light! Burn!

Wisdom-Quote from The Master

"The descending fire descends;
The ascending fire ascends.
The smile of Light
Watches their tasks divine
From across the empty space
Where the hands of ether
Salute the golden mystic sun."-Sri Chinmoy

Wisdom -Quote From The Master

"The morning sun
Greets your accomplishment-life.
The evening sun
Salutes your new hunger.
The inner sun
Perfects your life of deception,
Guides your life of aspiration
And
Fulfils your life of abnegation
Through the power of love-devotion." -Sri Chinmoy

Thanks Li-Jen.

I hope you got the job. I am essentially a mystical poet and an esoteric poet. Peace and Love to you. Appreciations.

Bill,

' ... a gift of the internet Gods' Ha ha. I like that. (Sweet chuckle)

Let me apologise for being late. Yesterday I reached out to the radio, press, university, so things were like it is in a Farmer's Market. Ha ha. I just made that up!

Raining horses and trains here (being different) my Friend. Good morning. So glad you came and that you enjoyed this soulful offering. I thought you might like both - a touch of nature in the first - a bit of you and I and other lesser mortals in the second. Cool!

You are a very dear friend too, my Brother. Any friend of Love, diligence and assiduousness, an open, yet wise and contrite Heart ... simplicity and sheer human dignity, is a friend of mines. God bless your family ... God bless your life of service and good will. Praise be!

Linda, C, I read it again!

More powerful than I thought. Lol. Appreciations.

Eric,

I thank you so much! Love to your family.

Sean,

You are getting used to the fancy words, eh? Cool! Thank you so much and as always, I'm proud of you for showing an appreciation of my work.

Aqib,

Sir G? I suppose you mean me. Thank you so much!

Yes, Linda L,

I know that you have met them. A mixture of Spirituality, wisdom, frugality and human deceny combined. But isn,t all that Spirituality? Yes, an umbrella of Love, trust, faith, devotion ...ad finitum. Is that a good word? Lol.

So far the muse has never, ever left me. I just don't always post, but I'm always writing. The difference here is that I have returned, somewhat, to observation, like Sherlock Homes. As for the muse, God bless him/she/it, but I take from a Higher Source. Peace.

Linda Crampton from British Columbia, Canada on April 23, 2018:

Visiting Kenya must be a very interesting experience. I love the powerful imagery in the second poem.

I am seeing such beautiful writings from you these past few days; Kenya must be talking to your Muse of inspiration. What a beautiful tribute to a truly beautiful couple. I have met Bill and Bev in person. Their love for each other and for all of Creation shines through.

Bill Holland from Olympia, WA on April 23, 2018:

I missed one of your offerings this weekend due to time and commitments. I'm certainly glad I didn't miss this one. You, my friend, have the heart of a giant. I am honored to call you my friend. You are truly a gift of the internet gods.

Blessings and love from across The Pond
