As Viewed From the Bridge
Maya Ellenson is keen on creating unconventional poetry and prose, inspired by what the moment reveals.
From the Bridge
Tri-colored Heron
As Viewed From the Bridge
The white sand pasted to
my feet
sticky
like a marshmallow candy
so is my gaze
transfixed
with a tri-colored heron.
Rambling
in the park
with no one around
the air so clammy
that it drops like a drape
down
folded
revealing a fountain
with its countless
versions--
lifetimes--
splashes
from a window
undraped.

Beautiful portrait in poetry.
