April Haiku #7685
I can't seem to stop writing poetry or reading poetry. I think it is safe to say I love poetry and I love sharing great poetry with others.
Back to Gardening
Today we planted
our tomatoes before May
parsley and lettuce
in terra cotta
painted with bright acrylic
designed by children
one on either side
a sidewalk chalk art display
and a small step down
where we pushed new soil
my large hand next to your small
fingers in the dirt
next year will be more
herbs to season my entrees
make us feel at home
this temporary
clay potted city garden
with hope for new days

it's hard to garden in the city, with limitations, but it is possible....wishing, for you, a large yard in a good gardening climate. :)
