when fiction's lies bleed over

they spill

blues edge out grays

vying for the last sigh

into fomented air

your hair covers my arm

spilling over

bleeding golds into grays

on an April afternoon

when words aren't enough.

I like several things about this poem. I like the single, true rhyme of air and hair at an unexpected place. I liked the double use of "over" which was sort of another rhyme. I appreciated the absence of punctuation, save, the final period. It forces me to interact with the words. This piece is deeper than the words on the page.
