An Eye for a Lie
Eye for a Lie
Your life lives in a lie,
All because of your eye.
It fibs, obscure and hallucinates,
All the chances, sceneries and fate.
Those moments you cherish on her side,
Those laughs on air that glides.
Her soft touch as it caressed your skin,
All are the product of illusion - everything.
I no longer believe my provocative eye,
It shows delusion on my conscious mind,
That triggers the wounds in my heart,
Left unaided, the day you dragged miles apart.
I see the future in your glance, I believe,
But all are a temptation, I deceive.
I thought you were the one - my everything,
But you left me hanging no words can explain.
I never anticipate the coat of deceit you wore,
You don't really mind my existence after all.
You tricked me like you really care for me,
I never knew you were a chimera in mythology.
That sweetness on us yesterday but changed by tomorrow,
Happiness before but nailed by sorrow.
That light you gave me but outraged by darkness,
That goal you set me but prevailed by hopelessness.
Time removes, feelings fade rapidly,
Liar! I am poisoned with fantasy.
Shooted someone to be my company,
All because of an eye who's blind with reality.
