Introduction

I was wondering when the whole world is thinking about Corona Virus, and taking precautions to avoid it, here I keep thinking about my silly crush :)

I thought I'll just write a poem about him and continue with my work :) Just enjoy and have a smile reading this poem :)

"Yes, you! Why do you keep haunting me?

We hardly speak to eachother when we meet

All you do is hide your handsome face from me

Focused on counting sand down at your feet

I sometimes wonder why you blush so much

You keep reminding me of my youngest cousin brother

When he was three years old, he used to blush too much

Simply because I showered him affection more than any other.

Wait! I don't even speak to you as I'm too shy

My heart is in a frenzy when you are around

My cheeks and ears are on fire when you're close by

I feel so strange when you are around.

Would you be interested to go out for a drink with me?

Would you like to eat different flavoured ice-creams?

Would you be interested to play carom with me?

Maybe watch new action superhero movies?

Would you be interested to go for bowling with me?

Would you like to go for fish therapy and have belly laughs together ?

Would you like to play scrabble with me?

Would you like to read and share ideas together ?

The other day you surprised me with your presence

I thought of poking your cheek just to check whether you're real

I hardly drink coffee but it is one of my tummy medicines

How nice if you would hold my hand for real!

always-in-my-mind

Do you know that you have a sharp and strong elbow?

I got knocked by my sister's school bag when she was walking

Accidentally ended up slamming onto your left elbow

My right arm felt the pain while I was traveling.

I don't know why you stand with your pointy elbows onto each side

I wonder is it your most comfortable pose when you're standing

Isn't it stretching and hard to do when you're seated with elbows in each side?

I think you should keep your hands relaxed and comfortable when seated or standing.

Is it normal for me to think that your chest is a safe place to rest?

It looks like it got extra padding and comfy like a wide pillow

Your tummy looks like a bouncy chair for children to play best

Your long legs crossed in ankles good to slide down safely to the floor.

always-in-my-mind

Inability to see you today make my heart feel really sad

Inability to hear your voice, giglish laugh makes me miss you so bad

Your pictures don't feel like seeing the real you so I'm sad

Will you be mine for life, stay by my side and make me glad?

I was told that it is not a sin to show you my interest in this rhyme

I was told that Papa God is the One who gives you the desires of your heart

After all you're more than a silly crush, my heart keeps you in rhyme

You are the one I adore and hold dear in my fragile heart.

I hope you're healthy and kept safe by His Angels

I hope you eat and sleep on time, spend time with Him

When there's no electricity, hope you got candles

All I do is thank God for your life and for his goodness I praise Him.

This poem about young love paints a very sweet picture of mystery, shyness, flirtation, and wishing. If it's based on a true event, I bid you well.

How clearly you have painted your description...I feel as if I now know this person you a bit as you share with us. Angels headed your way this morning.ps

Dora Weithers from The Caribbean on March 20, 2020:

The poem bears out your title. The detailed description of the physique reveals much observation. Actually, it is refreshing to find that people still love this way.

Interesting story Manatita :) All I know is that special kind of feelings do not come every day. Atleast not for me. Writing my silly thoughts is always helpful and after all it is creativity. When things are in open before both man and God no secrets that keep you guilty and responsible. I feel much relaxed.

Take care and God bless you!

Well at least it's healthy, or is it? It is for you to know, I suppose. So easy to be stuck between God and mammon, like rain-storm stuck in the heavenly hole. The people in heaven tried to pull her up and the people on Earth tried to pull her down.

I knew of a Saint who was so besotted by his mistress, that he swam on a snake one night to get to her. He thought it was a log!! The good woman told him that if he gave only a small portion of the time he gave to her, to God instead, that he would definitely find peace.

This hit home like a knife and from that day he changed his angle of vision ... God became his sole intent and he Realised his oneness with the Divine. Just saying.

Good to see you writing and your art is still magic!
