Gel has been trying to write poems since she read Slammed by Colleen Hoover in 2013.
She has always felt As if she's the cause Of all the mess happening around her
She has always felt That she is different That people doesn't Really like her
She has always felt All of the backstabbing And fake smiles But still, she smiles back
She has always felt That she is an outsider She'll never fit in She'll never be accepted
She Has Always Felt
But now She is numb For all of the things she has always felt
Took its toll And made her fall She couldn't get up Or she would not
All she knows Is that she needs time To heal And to mend
A little rest Can help big time And she's just recharging To move forward once more
She has always known That she has to be strong She have always been And always will be, resilient

Hi Liza, what a coincidence. I wrote this poem 3 years ago while on a boarding house for my last year in college. Thank you for your kind words.

Hi Gel, I like the poem a lot. It's reminding me when I left home to study in a boarding school. Thanks for sharing a beautiful poem.

Yes. We are strong, even stronger when we have good people who support us. Thank you for your kind words.

Indeed one's encouragement comes from within. Beautiful poem. Keep them coming.
