Emee.chan would describe herself as a lone wolf. She has a good friend from college, so she isn't neccessarily completely alone.
It Ain't Always So Bad
Quality Over Quantity!
I'm a lone wolf by nature, not meant to follow mindlessly. A few could understand my nature and accept me without trying to change me.
Those people are my kind of people- loners in their own way, but with a heart bigger than any crowd.
I don't want or need a large group of friends. Even if I get only one person, I'd be content.
There was a time I used to believe
That being alone is
The worst possible thing.
I surrounded myself with anyone who
Showed the slightest interest
In my company.
Later on I realised that those "bonds" I created weren't exactly
What I envisioned.
They broke easily soon after.
I felt disconnected, an outcast of sorts,
I couldn't make it alone.
As I got older and more mature,
I started wearing loneliness like
It's my favorite sweater or a blouse.
I felt more content being a lone wolf,
No one there to bother me or tell me
How to live my life at every turn.
My time was mine and mine alone
To spend it or waste it as I saw fit.
You could say I grew selfish and aloof.
Of course, I did find people
Who respected my privacy and
I did the same in return, giving them
My loyalty and vice versa.
You don't need to be alone to feel lonely,
You can feel it even if you have
Dozens of friends and aquaintances.
You don't need an entourage
In order to feel fulfilled.
You just need you,
Comfortable in your own skin.
My time is mine alone,
No need to compromise.
I exist in the silence all around.
If you want my company, go ahead,
I won't stop you.
But don't get angry if I feel the need
To recharge my batteries in solitude.
I'm not forcing my company on you
And I ask the same in return.
If you can't understand that, then
What are you doing here?
