Val enjoys writing his own style of what resembles poetry, just hoping to catch someone's heart on the same page.
We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.
-- Carlos Castaneda
People get addicted to their emotional crap
after negative responses are much repeated
and that's probably most popular human trap
for all those who keep their brains overheated.
That escalates into something downright crazy
as we don't notice hoe pissed-off feels good
but our consciousness, as if asleep or lazy
won't kick us out of the destructive mood,
Next -- our body is storing that rosy disposition
now feeding us back demands for some more
like liver is the site of anger upon its repetition
and our lungs are keeping our sadness score.
Well, we won't put in our mouth any known toxic stuff
but when it's our brain, we happily feed it some junk
then we compensate all that crap by acting tough
not convincing more than overconfident drunk.
Just like it's often hard to kick a drug
so we can't give up those bad emotions
as if we were infected by some stupidity bug
we just keep generating those annoying notions.
Then we see a doctor, or we see a shrink
or resort to increase of our happy weed use
all in vain, because it's merely the way we think
and in that war addiction is bound to make us lose.
But hey, let us not be all that pessimistic now
by giving us such a disheartening prediction
who says it is something that have to allow
for with a spirit we can kick any addiction.
