Epitaph for my Passing. A Sonnet.

Come now thou few discerning, wisdom souls,

Stopover to my tombstone when I'm gone.

Tell eloquent tales, of a life untold,

Melodious rhythms in creation.

No earthly dust, this deathless Silence holds,

I shed abundant laughter 'pon the rain.

My sacred glow; supernal Light unfold,

Whispering in your core my sweet refrain.

Should you but give attention to the Heart,

Sweet heaven's voices you will hear above:

"Here lies a soul who served and played its part,

A spark of Light and instrument of Love."

Perchance you'll feel my presence in the flow,

Encircling golden portals of the Tao.

Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. July 26th 2018

"Love is the only wealth that man absolutely needs. Love is the only wealth that God precisely is." Sri Chinmoy

abiding-love-encircling-peace

This Deep Peace. A free verse Sonnet.

Sunset kisses a candescent Light, as

My Peace floats on an expanse of rainbows,

Colouring the shimmering sun with their hue.

Enchanted by the beauty of moonlight,

My breath withdraws,

Into the solitude of twinkling stars.

Aye, I am a priceless Pearl,

Lying on the Ocean's bed,

Lapping up the serenity of its depth.

My inner bird soars, like an eagle,

Awake in the freedom of perennial Silence.

Dawn heralds the intimacy of daybreak,

My Hearts weeps with a profundity of Love,

Stabbing the soul with its delight.

Great wisdom and exquisite poetry. Yes, I believe in eternal life. The knowledge that I will one day be reunited with my beautiful son is what keeps me focused on the path to living a righteous and loving life.

So sweet. Thank you so much!

I wrote the passing one in freestyle also. A bit different and perhaps I like it better. Gracias.

Afternoon, Rinita.

Good to see you. Great imagination. God bless your Spirit.

The first one feels like a song by a magical bird, such as a phoenix, pouring sweet lament over some generous soul's passing. The second one I liked for its different ending.

Manatita, when a loved one departs this earth, they never truly leave us. They continue to live in our heart and our memories because love never dies.
