Kindness
Since the moment I held a pencil I've been creating with drawings and words. I believe paintings enlighten and poems entice our audiences.
Happy Smiles
There are moments when a simple smile from another person spruces up our day. I know when I go on my walks all my furry dog friends put a smile on my face, along with their families. Their desire to greet us and say hello brings out those happy endorphins in our brains and makes us feel better.
A Happy Dog at the Beach
Kindness
We walk in circles all day long
Thinking about what, who knows?
When a person passes we don’t notice
And an opportunity goes by
A moment to smile
A moment of warmth
To share with another being.
We walk in circles all day long
Are our thoughts important?
Why are we closed-up in our worlds?
Why do we linger there?
We walk in circles all day long
Why not open up to our surroundings?
Open up to a moment in time
Give a thought to other’s around us
Give kindness to those who need us
To our fellow beings both human and furry.
The Beach
Ode To A House
The house sits
As all houses do
But, for me,
The house smells
Of fresh baked bread
The house breathes
Of love and laughter
The house protects
From strangers or danger
The house soothes
From hurt or sorrow
The house harbors
A mouse and spider
Two or three
The house longs
To be a home
Always a home.

Heartwarming poem Mary and a smile can brighten up someone's day or life. I love your painting of this dog which reminded me of an Irish Wolfhound call Reilly we used to have. So true about our home, a sanctuary after a busy day. Your painting looks so inviting, I can almost smell the baking. Just lovely.

I like these poems, Mary, especially the second one. Your artwork adds to the poetry as well.
