A lover’s chorus

Her chorus
Your hands send a shiver beneath my skin.
Your lips are the key to the chorus of my ecstatic cries.
Your tongue has a life of its own, parting my past from present.
As I rise in your arms following the sweet rhythm of your staff,
it commands that I give up my will.
and then what?
Empty sheets?
Or a lifetime in your arms?
How many hills do I have to climb to guarantee a lifetime?
How many waves have to wash over to bring me sweet peace?
